New Facilities a Hit at Boneo

Brilliant sunshine all weekend set the scene for some top class dressage at Boneo Park, August 20^th and 21^st. 

Many riders had travelled from across the state to compete at the first class facilities offered at Boneo and were ecstatic with everything provided.  The latest addition, 82 state of the art stables were used for the first time and received a resounding thumbs up from the competitors for their design, size and quality.

Perfect footing across all arenas ensured the best conditions for riders and consequently some great scores were achieved.  Winners in the Preliminary competition were Ben Terry with Farnshaw and Dianne Barnes with Waronga Park Orion.   First in both the novice classes was local rider Jacinta Abernethy and her classy Heathmont Sima.  Stephanie Dijkstra from Geelong had a fantastic weekend aboard Cipriani winning both Elementary classes and the Medium 4B.  The Medium 4C was won by local rider Kate Nash on the mare Kinnordy Ragusa. 

The Advanced 5B was won by Georgina Cattermole on her imported stallion Bellaire Cannavaro while Kate Nash took out the 5C with Yarra Valley Flemmingha.

Dominating the small tour classes was Antony Bartlett and Lexington Nite Kap who received over 69% in the PSG and 66% in the Inter 1. Lilah Nieuwland was second in the PSG and Jenny Hewitt was runner up in the Inter 1.

Meaghan Willis and Roxbury Amistice were victors in the Intermediate 2 from Kylie Riddell and Byalee Magic.  Boneo Park's Fiona McNaught and Ostra won the Grand Prix from Caroline Wagner and Tango V, however the tides were changed for Sunday's Grand Prix Special with Caroline taking first place.
